Without resolving and optimising operational considerations you may only achieve an easily discarded surface veneer that will readily peel away under stress.

To make operational changes stick it is necessary to understand and appreciate the drivers and counter-drivers for successful change. Nearly every single individual and organisation has a position (or range of positions) where they are most comfortable - to move outside this range takes considerable effort, energy and resources. Even doing this, you are likely to revert back to a previous comfort zone/s under stress or pressure.


The secret is in making change stick. We have found only two (2) approaches that work:

  • make it more attractive to go forward that to stay in your current zone (usually quite slow and a gradual/gentler path), or

  • make it impossible to go back (i.e. burn your bridges. This is much faster but can be very painful!).

Our role is to delicately balance being an enabling catalyst, acting as a guide and being an effective resource to address operational issues.


IMPORTANT: It is your business. You and your team needs to be driving the show forward while using the most effective resources available to you!
