June Tool : The Getting of Wisdom - A Causality Chain
Wisdom is a mysterious capability that seems to be rare and elusive.
People are praised, honored and feted for having it. Those who are able to make effective use of it are even more highly regarded! So what can you do to gain wisdom?
Let me share with you a simple causality chain (connections) on the path to wisdom:
Data: everyone is surrounded by data in many forms (both raw and, to some extent, processed) - this can be the internet, libraries, the world at large etc.
Information: once you process data it usually becomes more condensed and turns into a more valuable and desirable item: information.
Knowledge: Using information converts it into knowledge. Sadly this is where many people stop the value enhancing process from having Data . . .
Wisdom: Applied knowledge can and does become wisdom.
Simply put Wisdom is the ability to effectively apply Knowledge, use Information and sift Data!
